The course prepares teachers for Sr. Secondary PGTs school level and teachers for B-Ed course. The teachers are trained to adjust to different kinds of environment and are inculcated with self- learning skills, to find out the solution by their research work.

• To create a perspective in the students about the implications of education for solving the prevailing problems in education in India.
• To enable them to participate effectively in educational politics, policy analysis and development.
• To develop a spirit of enquiry among the teacher-educators and to enable them to apply research findings in educational practice..
• To orient the teacher educators with skills to assess the efficiency of educational systems of various countries in terms of prevailing trends in those countries.
• To acquaint the teacher educators with curricular content, curriculum implementation and process of curriculum evaluation.
• To prepare the teacher educator to conduct the researches on current topics/ action researches.
